ColorJoy Lighting (Dongguan Chuangyu Technology Co., Ltd.) is a direct-source motion lamp
and lava lamp manufacturer for retailers, Amazon private-label brands, and commercial
distributors. We handle the part that general lighting factories cannot: in-house liquid
wax formulation, borosilicate glass selection, and 1,000-hour high-temperature aging
validation — so your lamps flow correctly on the shelf and survive ocean freight.

## What We Manufacture

Our motion lamp and lava lamp production covers four families, all toolled in-house:

- **Classic tube lava lamps** — aluminium or steel base, borosilicate or soda-lime glass
column, capped metal coil. Our 36 cm classic metal-tube model uses a high-transparency
liquid formula and carries a 500 pcs MOQ.
- **Wide-body decorative lava lamps** — the 38 cm large-format decorative line built for
living-space displays and boutique retail shelving.
- **Motion / magma lamps** — wax-melt ambient lamps in custom height and diameter.
- **Novelty sensory lighting** — private-label liquid and ambient lines, including

Bulb voltage, base finish, cap style, silicone gasket compound, and label artwork are all
customisable. New mould fabrication runs 15–25 days.

## OEM or ODM — Pick Your Model

**OEM (you supply the design).** Send us drawings, a physical sample, or a lamp you want
matched. We run DFM analysis, open the moulds, and produce to your spec under your brand.
Best when you already own the product design and need manufacturing.

**ODM (we supply the design).** Choose from our existing base and column tool library,
then customise colourway, liquid formula, height, branding, and packaging. Fastest to
market and lowest up-front tooling cost. Best for Amazon sellers validating a new listing.

## Why the Liquid Formula Is the Hard Part

Most lava lamp complaints — wax sticking to the glass, columns going cloudy after three
weeks, wax that refuses to flow below 20 °C room temperature, blobs that dissolve into
nothing by winter — are formulation and gasket problems, not assembly problems.

This is where factory choice actually matters. Our chemistry is built on four constraints:

## Motion Lamp Questions — Answered

**Why is the custom-mould MOQ higher than the standard 500 pcs?**
Standard 500 pcs per model covers production against existing tooling. A bespoke glass
column or base geometry needs 1,000–3,000 pcs, because mould tooling cost and liquid
formula batch validation are both amortised across the run. We offer tiered support for
growing brands — and no MOQ on prototype evaluation samples, so you can validate the
flow and colour before committing.

**How fast can I get a sample?**
Existing models in your custom colour: 3–7 business days. Custom-tooled prototypes:
10–14 days. New mould fabrication adds 15–25 days before T1 samples.

**Can you match an exact wax and liquid colour combination?**
Yes. We do Pantone colour matching on the wax and the liquid independently, so you can
specify an exact pair — a Pantone-locked brand colour against a transparent-tinted liquid.
Standard colourways are free; bespoke formulas require batch validation.

**Should I use borosilicate or soda-lime glass?**
Borosilicate handles repeated thermal cycling and is what we recommend for climates with
large temperature swings, or for high-cycle retail display where lamps run for hours in
store. Soda-lime is the cost-optimised choice for controlled indoor environments. Your
quote will state the difference line by line.

**Will you sign an NDA and keep my tooling exclusive?**
Yes. We sign NDAs before receiving your drawings, and we do not resell a customer's custom
tooling, base geometry, or proprietary colourway to another buyer.
